St. Blaise is the patron saint of throat ailments and of physicians. When Bishop Blaise was captured for the Faith, on His way to prison He encountered a boy who was choking from a fish bone stuck in his throat. After praying over him, the boy was cured. For this reason, on His feast day, the parishes of the Catholic Church have a blessing of the throats. The holy saint suffered martyrdom under Licinius in 316 AD.
Please listen to a good sermon on St. Blaise preached by Rev. Fr. David Hewko, who firmly stands fast by the Teachings of the Traditional Catholic Church: https://youtu.be/M4PN1YMHZYI
St. Blaise, pray for us!
